Returning Your FIT Kit Sample for Healthier SG Screening

Singapore Post stopped mail services for FIT kits from 31 March 2024.

From 1 April 2024, you must return your FIT kit sample to the same clinic where you collected it. The clinic will send it to the lab.

Please drop off your FIT kit at the same clinic where you have collected them from so as toprevent your sample from getting lost.

How to Collect and Return the FIT Kit

You can pick up your kit from a CHAS GP clinic. Follow the steps in the brochure that comes with the FIT kit to collect your stool samples.

• Collect stool samples on 2 different days.
• Return each sample to the clinic within 48 hours.
• Collect the second sample within 2 weeks of the first for a more accurate assessment of your colorectal cancer (CRC) risk level.

Note: If the clinic is closed, go back the next day as soon as possible. [LL1] [S(2] If you intend to return 2 samples on the same day, please keep the 1^st sample in a cool and dry place.Make sure that you return the 1^st sample within 48 hours after the sample has been taken.

Packing tips:

• Use the envelope and Ziploc bag provided.
• Write your name, NRIC, contact number and date of sample collection on the kit.
• Add one completed form for each sample.
• Do not place the form and sample in the same bag, to protect the items from getting contaminated.
• If returning both samples together, keep them in separate bags with separate forms and seal them properly in separate envelopes.

Getting Your Results

Your clinic will contact you when your screening results are ready. You can also check results using the HealthHub app.

If your result is positive, your doctor will explain what it means.

A Programme Coordinator from the hospital will call you to arrange for an appointment with a specialist.
