Support for Students To Quit Vaping or Smoking


The Health Promotion Board (HPB) offers support to students who want to stop vaping or smoking. Whether it’s in school or over the phone, help is within reach.

With guidance from trusted health advisors and trained counsellors, students can take steady steps towards a nicotine-free future.

Help Available in Schools: Student Health Advisors

HPB works with schools to help students quit vaping or smoking. Student Health Advisors (SHAs) offer support in ITEs and 4 special education schools.

What To Expect From SHA Counselling

If a student is referred to a SHA, here’s what happens:

The SHA is based in the school, so it’s easy for students to attend sessions.

Phone Support With QuitLine

If a student’s school doesn’t have a SHA, they can still get help. HPB’s QuitLine offers phone counselling.
