How the Penalty Works
A 7-day penalty applies if you cancel less than 12 hours before a session. During this time, you cannot book new sessions in the Healthy 365 app.
Note: There is also a no-show penalty for those who don’t turn up for a session and didn’t cancel.
How You’ll Know About a Penalty
You can view any penalties in the Healthy 365 app:
- Open any event details page.
- Look for a nudge card showing:
- The reason for the penalty
- The time left on the penalty period
- When you can book again
How Long a Penalty Lasts
Each penalty lasts 7 days.
If you get another penalty during this time, the period extends from the latest incident.
Example:
- If your session is at 7.00am and you cancel at 6am, the 7-day penalty starts from 6am.
- If you miss a class on Monday, your penalty ends the following Monday. But if you cancel another class late on Wednesday, a new 7-day penalty starts from Wednesday. This means your penalty now ends next Wednesday instead.
If HPB Cancels the Session
You won’t get a penalty if HPB cancels a session due to:
- Bad weather
- Venue issues
- Other unforeseen reasons
Going to Events You Already Booked
You can still attend any sessions that you booked before the penalty started. But if you miss these sessions or cancel late again, your penalty period will extend 7 more days from that date.
Tips to Avoid Penalties
To avoid penalties:
- Book only sessions you can attend
- Cancel more than 12 hours in advance
- Arrive early for pre-activity and well-being checks
Options if You Are Under Penalty
We understand that you may miss sessions due to last-minute changes.
You can still walk in anytime for low- and moderate-intensity activities such as:
- Yoga
- Zumba Gold
- Resistance band exercises
If you are unsure of your plans, you can choose to book on the same day of the activity, or walk in, subject to availability.
Request a Waiver
HPB reserves the right to waive the no-show or late cancellation penalty on a case-by-case basis. Participants may request a waiver by emailing hpb_mailbox@hpb.gov.sg.
There will be no waiver of the penalty if it is incurred due to participants being late for the session. To avoid the penalty, participants are encouraged to arrive early for the session or cancel your registration at least 12 hours before the session begins.
