At the Student Dental Centre(SDC), we only provide stainless steel crowns for baby teeth. Tooth-coloured crowns are not offered.

Stainless steel crowns are the preferred material for baby teeth with decay or after a root canal. Studies show that they:

• Perform much better than tooth-coloured fillings. 
• Have a longer track record and evidence to support their use.
