How the No-Show Penalty Works
If a participant misses a booked session without cancelling, they’ll get a 7-day penalty:
- It starts from the time of the last missed session.
- During this time, they cannot book new events in the Healthy 365 app.
The penalty is in place for both in-person and online events to:
- Ensure that event spots go to people who can attend
- Encourage everyone to arrive on time
Here’s how it works:
- Missing a booked event means you cannot book new events for 7 days.
- If you miss another event during this period, another 7 days will be added from your last missed session.
- If you miss the safety check at the event, you will be marked as a no-show and cannot join.
Example:
Missing an event on 12 July, 6–7pm means no bookings until 19 July at 7pm. Missing another event before 19 July will extend the hold by another 7 days.
How You’ll Know About a Penalty
A warning card will show in the Healthy 365 app if there is a penalty. You can also check My Schedule to see when your penalty ends.
What Counts as a No-Show
A no-show happens if you:
- Miss a booked session without cancelling beforehand.
- Miss the safety check because you were late.
It is not counted as a no-show if:
- HPB cancels the event (for example, due to bad weather).
- A system issue stops your attendance from being recorded.
Requesting a Penalty Waiver
HPB reserves the right to waive the no-show penalty on a case-by-case basis. Participants may request a waiver by emailing hpb_mailbox@hpb.gov.sg.
There will be no waiver of the penalty if it is incurred due to participants being late for the session. To avoid the penalty, participants are encouraged to arrive early for the session or cancel your registration at least 12 hours before the session begins.
*Airtime charges apply for mobile calls to 1800 service lines.
Attending Events You Already Booked
You can still attend events booked before the penalty started. However, you cannot book new events during the penalty period.
Tips to Avoid a No-Show Penalty
- Cancel early if you cannot go.
- Arrive on time for every session.
- Turn on app notifications so you don’t miss updates.
