What is the Healthier Choice Symbol? 

The Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS) helps you make healthier food and drink choices when shopping. It highlights products that are healthier compared to others in the same category. 

The HCS logo on products means they are usually: 

  • Lower in sugar, sodium and saturated fat 
  • Higher in wholegrains and calcium 

You’ll also see taglines on the label, such as: 

  • “Lower in Sugar” 
  • “Lower in Saturated Fat” 
  • “Higher in Wholegrain” 

This helps you compare and choose healthier options at a glance.
